An authoritative century from NSW Magenta opener Sam Konstas even outplayed the entire Tassie batting card at Eastern Oval.
Konstas walloped 15 fours and three sixes towards 159 off 150 balls to direct the New South Welshmen to 3-309 off their 50 overs.
He shaped the first-wicket stand of 163 with Jack Wakely (54) in the opening 33 overs.
Akshat Mishra came in to thrash a run-a-ball 64 before Magenta lost their top two batsman that included Konstas in the final eight balls.

Feeling deflated despite thrashing Northern Territory by eight wickets on Thursday, Tasmania struggled from the outset to run down the more than six-an-over run rate.
By the fifth over, the New South Welshman had the Tasmanians reeling at 3-19.
A solid 21-run partnership between Riverside allrounder Aidan O'Connor (17) and George Davies (10) steadied the innings until the side lost the next six wickets for 36.
It took a series of lusty late-order hits from tailender Arie Schoenmaker to reach 106. The Riverside seconds regular was out for 20 off 19 balls with four boundaries.
