The 12-year-old Scotch Oakburn students spent last Sunday selling lemonade and some sweet treats in an effort to spread Christmas cheer and support a good cause.
Both girls agreed it was an important message to think of others during Christmas time.
Now in its 111th year, the appeal raises much-needed funds for four Northern charities - the Launceston Benevolent Society, St Vincent de Paul, the Salvation Army and City Mission.
Donations can be made at The Examiner office on Cimitiere Street, or an business or group with an appeal tin.
