Co-founder Abbey Cameron grew up in Launceston, but left the state for Queensland in her mid teens.
Five years ago Ms Cameron launched Nourish'd with her husband David Crompton and has dreamed of bringing the service to Tasmania since.
"I'm a Tassie girl through and through, and I'm so proud to bring this beautiful product and brand in to my home town," she said.
"My extended family still live in and around Launceston, so it's always been a goal of mine to launch Nourish'd into Tasmania, particularly for my two grandads who are in their 80s and living on their own.
"We are locking down an exact date, but it will be within the month."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Nourish'd will come to Launceston and Hobart first, with other Tasmanian locations to be decided by demand, Ms Cameron said.
"We want everyone to put their postcodes in via a message on our Facebook page or our website."
Nourish'd offers fresh, preservative-free, whole food, pre-made meals delivered to the doorstep at an average of $12 per meal, depending on the numbers and type of meals ordered.
Most of the produce used is sourced from Australia, with beef coming from Tasmania and some nuts and seeds from the Pacific region.
More than 50 meals are offered on a weekly rotating menu, with paleo, keto, gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian options and three different portion sizes.
The idea for the business came when the busy couple found they had too little time for meal preparation.
"We both worked coporate jobs, commuting an hour each day and one day I said 'let's get our food delivered'," Ms Cameron said.
The answer wasn't as simple ordering what they wanted, though.
"Lot's of meal delivery services said they had healthy foods, but were still adding sugar and preservatives and fillers," she said.
"Plus I was gluten free and my husband was lactose intolerant so we needed to cater for that."
The solution was to fill the gap and create the business themselves.
"I left my job in marketing and we launched Nourish'd eight weeks later," Ms Cameron said.
Nourish'd is a registered supplier to the NDIS, something which Ms Cameron is very proud of.
"Having meals delivered to your door helps people stay in their own homes for longer and it keeps younger people out of nursing homes," she said.
