Tasmania defeated NSW/ACT 3.4 (22) to 0.1 (1) it its opening match of the day and also collected a one point win over Queensland, 2.2 (14) to 2.1 (13), with a loss to the Northern Territory, 6.1 (37) to 0.0, in the middle of those matches.
The state had lost its four matches of the carnival on Tuesday to Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Vic Metro and on Thursday it will begin its Division Two campaign.
Finals will be played on Friday, before the closing ceremony on Saturday..

In the National Youth Championships in Coffs Harbour, Tasmania's under 14 side suffered a 2-1 loss to Northern New South Wales, with Kingborough's Evie Horgan finding the back of the net, while the under 15 side fell 2-1 to Queensland, with Kingborough's Jessica Shreeve the goal scorer.
The under 14 side on Thursday will play Football West at 1pm, while the under 15 side will play South Australia at 2.20pm.
Those championships will run until Friday.
