Van Diemen Project program manager Talitha Devadass was awarded Emerging Leader at the 2019 Telstra Business Women's Awards.
Ms Devadass provides an accelerator program that assists new and existing business owners reach their goals and thrive.
Other winners included:
- Business Woman of the Year: Glenview Community Services chief executive Lucy O'Flaherty
- Small Business Award: LUC Homewares and Design owner and creative director Lucy Given
- Medium and Large Business Award: AFL Tasmania chief executive officer Trisha Squires
- Public Sector and Academia Award: Local Government Association of Tasmania chief executive Katrena Stephenson

The awards have been running for 24 years with the aim to recognise and celebration the outstanding achievements of Australian business women.
Telstra InfraCo chief executive Brendon Riley said all winners were inspiring examples of leaders challenging the status quo both within and beyond their own industries.
"These women are undoing traditional business practices by using their own unique approach to rewrite what it means to be successful," he said.
"They're championing inclusion, innovation, and inspiring others to do the same."
The awards took place in Hobart at Mona on Tuesday, March 19.
The state winners will be invited to the national awards, which will take place in Sydney in May.
