Echoes of Pink Floyd is Australia's largest scale Pink Floyd act based out of Adelaide.
They will be touring Launceston, as part of their The Wall tour in memory of the 40th anniversary of famed Pink Floyd album of the same name.
Echoes of Pink Floyd member Daniel Hunter said the aim of the band was to capture every aspect of original Pink Floyd authentically.
"Each member of the band loves and respects what the original Pink Floyd gave to the world with their music," he said.
"We want to bring this to life for the audience who may not have had a chance to experience a Pink Floyd concert, or wish to relive memories from their youth."
An interesting feature of the tour is a four-metre light circle that sychronises with the band's music to culminate in a 6000 lumens light show.
Drummer for Echoes of Pink Floyd said the core of their band is to focus on the legacy of the music.
"Our vision and desire is to keep this music alive so it will be remembered for generations to come," he said.
"We want to stand up as the next representatives of these guys in the 21st century, by being the truly authentic Pink Floyd concept show for Australia."
The group will be playing at the Launceston Country Club Friday March 1.
