A woman remains in a critical but stable condition 11 days after she was hit by a ute on Ecclestone Road.

The 31-year-old was hit while walking with her back to traffic about 7.20am on October 11.
She was transported by ambulance to the Launceston General Hospital, but was flown to the Alfred Hospital in Victoria later that day.
On the day of the incident police told The Examiner the 19-year-old driver of the ute had the sun in his eyes as he drove east down Ecclestone Road at Riverside.
The driver immediately turned around and attempted to help the woman, police said.

Anyone who saw the ute or the woman walking was asked to come forward to assist police with their investigation.
