The name of the Sorell man who died following a rally-car crash on forestry roads near Scottsdale has been released by Tasmania Police.
Darren Stuart Clark, 49, was killed while he was participating in the Scottsdale Classic Rally on Williams Hill Road.
He lost control of his Mazda RX7 and collided with a tree stump on Saturday about 5:30pm.
A Launceston man, who was navigating, has been hospitalised following the crash.
EARLIER:
Tasmania Police report the driver and navigator were removed from the car and first aid was given after the vehicle collided with a tree stump.

A private ambulance, which was employed as a condition of the race permit, arrived shortly after and CPR was started.
Police report CPR continued for about an hour until Ambulance Tasmania arrived, but the driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
A 33-year-old Launceston man was taken to Launceston General Hospital and is in a stable condition with multiple fractures.
A report is being prepared for the coroner after the scene was attended by police crash investigators and forensics.
The race was called off.
