Gone are the days when the only burgers you could order were with the lot from your local fish and chip shop or, if you were a little fancy, a steak sandwich.
Burgers have transformed into a gourmet feast, with ingredients like truffle mayo, halloumi and brie being added to menus.
Burger Got Soul took to Facebook to celebrate their Tassie Tempter being named Best Burger 2017 by Food Service Magazine’s panel of industry and public judges.
“There was some stiff competition from Melbourne but we’re stoked to win,” the post said.
