Extra officers will be on patrol to tackle drink driving and drunken behaviour in CBDs around the state.
Police will also be checking the age of patrons at pubs and clubs.
“We’re expecting it to be a busy day on Saturday,” Acting Sergeant Ann Edge said.
“Anyone heading out to the entertainment precincts should be aware that we won’t tolerate antisocial, drunk and unruly behaviour that ruins a good time for everyone else.”
Acting Sergeant Edge said was important to plan ahead.
“Other traffic related enforcement activities will focus on speed detection, inattention, failing to wear seatbelts and using mobile phones.
“Look after your friends and make sure everyone can get home safely.”
