THREE people have been taken to Launceston General Hospital with minor injuries this morning after they were struck by a Launceston City Council mower on Wellington Street this morning.

Constable Jarrod Fawdry said the mower allegedly failed to stop at a red light on the intersection of Wellington and Brisbane Streets about 9.45am this morning.
A woman and two people believed to be Launceston College students were knocked down as they were crossing at the traffic lights.
They were taken by ambulance to hospital.
One lane of Wellington Street was blocked off and council workers are talking to police at the scene.
