The pupils performed with their band The Sound at Trevallyn Primary School yesterday for the first of three shows in their Mowbray Sessions Tour.
The Sound entertained with renditions of Little Talk by Of Monsters and Men, Hall of Fame by The Script, Demons by Imagine Dragons, and Mr Know-it-all by Kelly Clarkson.
Eleven-year-old singer Lauren Partridge said yesterday's performance was the band's best yet.
"I've been singing since I was very young, and I just love doing it," she said.
"I was kind of happy and a bit nervous . . . it was fun."
Teacher James Geale started the band after seeing the pupils "in action" in their music classes.
"I've been able to identify these guys and go 'OK, I think these guys could be capable of being in a band', and they've been practising after school and during school for the last term and a half to get to the point where they are now," he said.
"I think it was absolutely fantastic, I think it's a massive deal going and performing in front of people . . . I thought it was awesome.
"We've got so much talent at the school, it's really fantastic to get the opportunity [to run the program]."
The Sound will perform at Exeter Primary School on November 20, and Riverside Primary on December 4.
