The Launceston mother of two and owner of Newstead Hair is one of four hairstylists - the only one from Tasmania - working on the reality television show, The Voice .
Mrs Ralph styled contestants for the showdowns earlier this year, including Launceston's Matthew Garwood and former Hi-5 star Fely Irvine, but this weekend she has flown to Sydney to work on the live shows.
It is not easy work despite her hairstyling experience for London Fashion Week, Sydney Fashion Week and reality show Project Runway .
``It's pretty high-intensity and a lot of pressure, I've never experienced anything like it,'' Mrs Ralph said.
``5.30am is this week's call time and I expect to wrap up somewhere around 11pm, then we turn around and do the same thing the next day.''
One day is a full dress rehearsal, the other, the same look is recreated for the live show.
``Each week the director of hair and make-up will meet the producers and decide on the looks for the contestants, and we get briefed on that and spend most of the day styling them to recreate the look,'' Mrs Ralph said.
Once the look is finished, contestants get checked over by the production team under stage lights.
``If they are happy with the look, fantastic,'' Mrs Ralph said. ``If not, they'll send them back to get it changed.''
Mrs Ralph said she got to work on the show through KMS, the same hairstyling company she worked for with fashion weeks and Project Runway .
Mrs Ralph has also scored two free tickets to next weekend's live show, which she is giving away at her Newstead salon.
She said anyone who bought a KMS product before Thursday, could go in the draw for the tickets, free accommodation and flights.
``I'm excited to give two lucky people the chance to experience it,'' she said.
