I believe I can continue to make a positive contribution for the voters of Lyons and to Tasmania.
As one of the Greens team, I have delivered the stability we promised four years ago; this commitment also applies for the future.
Tasmania must continue to transform its economy to remain competitive and whilst a significant number of new jobs were created over the past four years, more must be done to get the unemployment rate down to acceptable levels.
I am committed to working towards a balanced State budget, do more to keep the cost of living down and assist those doing it tough in our community, and continue to ensure we protect our precious environment, as well as our agricultural and tourism sectors.
No fracking on our farms!
After nearly twelve years representing the Lyons electorate I have a breadth of experience and know my communities’ need for appropriate developments and investment, to create more jobs in regional areas.
I will also continue my advocacy for improved infrastructure and access to services.
If re-elected, I will work to improve the relationship between both houses of parliament, as a more co-operative parliament will deliver more benefits to Tasmania.
