Darren has worked in the hospitality, retail and manufacturing sectors, as an employee representative and more recently as a small business owner and operator in Swansea. For the last 3 years, Darren has held the position of State President of the Police Community and Youth Clubs (PCYC) Association in Tasmania extending his dedication to youth development that began with his years of involvement in local football.
As a candidate for the Labor Party, Darren is committed to getting things done and is particularly driven to see further improvements in industry development and job security in the Lyons region, enhancement of programs to assist our youth that may be at risk and mental health awareness, particularly in rural Tasmania.
