Beams, 35, began his career playing under 19s with the Parrots in 1995, when he was leading goalkicker.
Over the course of 18 seasons his list of achievements has grown to include being senior captain (2004), reserves coach (2007-09), reserves best and fairest winner (2008), reserves premiership player (2010-11) and captain (2010).
``It's good to have played for that sort of length of time but it's about getting a win this Saturday to keep the season ticking along,'' Beams said.
``I played about 116 senior games and the rest are reserves.''
Beams said the standout highlight for him was the 2010 NTFA division 1 reserves premiership.
``We'd waited since 1984 to win one, and to win the seniors flag and reserves on the same day with your best mates was pretty special and I couldn't top that one,'' he said.
Beams is also involved on the club committee this season as sponsorship co-ordinator.
He was involved in organising the club's recent successful gala auction and has been a prime mover in arranging many end-of-season footy trip s for the club.
He said he had no plans for retirement.
``I'll take it as it comes from year to year but I'm enjoying the mateship of it all,'' he said.
