Rangers are searching for a dingo after a child was bitten at a Queensland island popular with holidaymakers.

The child sustained minor injuries on Wednesday after the dingo bit them on K'gari, formerly known as Fraser Island.
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service rangers are trying to identify the animal involved.
They said they will speak with the child's family to understand what led to the attack and have increased patrols at Eli Creek, where the incident occurred.
It is the latest in a spate of dingo-related incidents on the island.
An 18-year-old woman was bitten on the back of the leg when she was part of a tour group walking to Lake Wabby on February 17.
Hours later a person on a separate tour was nipped while walking on the beachfront near Dilli Village, marking six dingo incidents in as many weeks.
A German tourist was also bitten on the leg at Gerowweea Creek on March 15.
A nine-year-old girl was bitten on the leg when wading in shallow water on April 2.
Rangers have warned visitors to be vigilant around dingoes, keep children within arm's length, never to walk alone on K'gari and to carry a stick at all times.
Dingo incidents should be reported to rangers.
