Victorian Brendan Smith and 2011 Australian international representative Kyle Middleton, of New South Wales, will join Bayles and about 50 A, B and C-grade riders, including 30 from the mainland, at the Mount Joy property owned by Bayles's father, Peter.
Tasmanian Motorcycle Trials Club publicity officer Ian Pickering said that organisers had set especially difficult sections for the experts.
``The aim of trials riding is to get around a marked section without putting your foot down - riders are given demerit points for putting a foot down to retain their balance,'' Mr Pickering said.
``That sounds straightforward until you realise that some of the boulders on the experts' sections are four metres to five metres high and really steep - the sort of thing most people wouldn't get over with a block and tackle, let alone a motorcycle.''
Mr Pickering said that trials was an equal opportunity sport that relied on balance and control rather than brute strength.
``Many of the men in the field will have their work cut out to beat mainland A-grade women's riders Michelle Coleman and Brooke Lonne,'' Mr Pickering said.
``They both represented Australia at the Trial des Nations in Italy last year, and that's basically the international trials championships.''
Juniors with off-road bikes interested in trying their hand at trials will be given free entry on the day.
There will be roadside signs directing to the the trial from the Midland Highway and competitors should be on-site by 9am.
