The outbreak at the Royal Hobart Hospital remains at five.
One COVID-positive patient is in the intensive care unit at the LGH, but not specifically for COVID.
A spokesperson for the Tasmanian Health Service said patients continued to be treated in the ward most clinically appropriate for their condition, which included consideration of their COVID status.
"Regardless of their location, COVID-positive patients are managed in line with the same robust level of Infection Prevention and Control safeguards that have been in use since the pandemic began," the spokesperson said.
"Where an outbreak does occur, the THS has shown that its outbreak management protocols have been able to rapidly contain transmission, minimise disruption to services and limit any preventable risk to patients, staff and the community."
There were no further COVID deaths reported in Tasmania on Sunday, after deaths were reported on consecutive days since Thursday, including two on Friday.
The daily case number dropped below 1000 - down to 936 - while the number of patients in hospital being treated specifically for COVID remained at nine. A total of 49 patients in Tasmanian hospitals are COVID-positive.
