Beaconsfield, Beauty Point, Exeter and George Town have all joined the league, while Trevallyn are fielding a second side for season 2021-22, bringing the competition to 12 teams.
"It's really awesome to see, we are so proud that there's a 60 per cent increase," TCL committee member Charmaine Whyman said.
"We must have a really good product for the girls to want to come and have a go and clubs in the TCL are pushing to be more family orientated as well."
ACL
Last year: Fourth (elimination final)
Coach: Narine Maurangi
Co-captains: Angela Oates and Priscilla Pyke
New players: Bella Summers, Thylacine Arundel-Clarke
They say: "We've built our team up with some new players and we've also got some juniors coming through as well," Amanda Dewis said.
"We would like to improve on last year, we got to the finals last year so we would like to go a step further obviously and also develop the skills of our new players."
Beaconsfield
Coach: Tyler Bain
Captain: Sally Vandenberg
They say: "A lot of our partners, children or parents play, so it [joining the competition] was just to be able to support our club," Paige Henri said.
"We've got four mother-daughter duos in our team which is really cool and 14 of our 15 players live in Beaconsfield so it's really great that we can support our community like they support us."
Beauty Point
Coach: Brad Dusautoy
Captain: Rachel Reay
They say: "Rachel's husband went home and said 'how do you feel about putting a team together?', so it's all netballers, basketballers from in town who decided to give cricket a crack - two have played a while ago," Carrie Tasker said.
"Our goals are to play every game, get better - which we have during trainings - and to win one game would be nice.
"We've got about 14-15 girls and we average about 10 per training ... bowling has improved, batting has improved and everyone's just keen to have a crack."
Bracknell
Last year: Second (preliminary final)
Coach: Travis Semmens
Captain: Amy Buettel
They say: "We've got a few young ones coming through, a couple that played last year who hadn't played before are playing again this year," captain Buettel said.
"We've got a couple out - Natalie Curbishley, Cassie Walker and Sophie Johns are all not playing this year - so this year essentially our goal will be for rebuild and exposure for our young ones on the field.
"There's a couple of girls that played last year that we are going to give more of a run, bring them up the order to have more of a bat, so Summer Cherdron, I'd like to see some huge things from her and Emma Haase has been working really hard."
Evandale Panthers
Last year: Fifth
Coach: Tayla Buchanan
Captain: Tayla Buchanan
New players: Adine Whitecombe, Lauren Crocker and Rhyannon Preece
They say: "This is our second year as a merged club after merging with Bishopsbourne and we are still trying to find our feet," Lucie Johnson said.
"Our goals for the year are to improve, keep learning and play some good cricket."
Exeter
Coach: Simon Frost
Captain: Michelle Allen
They say: "It [joining the competition] was an initiative of the club as a couple of our partners and children play, we just thought it would be good for the club to advance on what we've got going forward," Tammy House said.
"Our goals are to basically get a full team together to start with - we've got about eight at this stage. Other than that, just to get out there, have a good time, improve on some skills and learn the game."
George Town
Coach: Jarrod Bailey
Captain: Maddi Hill
They say: "The George Town women's team has been in the works for a couple of years now, but with the right people on board we have finally been able to put the preparation into work," coach Bailey said.
"We've all seen how the women's footy team in our community has helped bring people through the door, and I can't wait to see our women do the same at cricket.
"Our goals for the season are simple and realistic, for our first year we aren't expecting to be in the running for flags.
"It's to make sure we are competitive, and enjoying the season to make sure that in the years coming we're in the position to push for the greatest success."
Hadspen
Last year: Sixth
Coach: Justin Reeves
Captain: A four-player leadership group
New players: Erin Axton, Megan Duhig
They say: "We are looking to hopefully win a couple of games, play good cricket and have some fun and try to push for a premiership," leadership group member Mel Denman said.
Legana
Last year: Seventh
Coach: Nicola Dusautoy
Co-captains: Nicola Dusautoy and Elyse Page
New players: Kiannah McDougall
They say: "Our goals are just to continue to improve, we still have quite an inexperienced side, so it's pretty much just getting game time into all of those players," co-captain Page said.
Longford
Last year: Premiers
Coach: Stacey Norton-Smith
Captain: Emma Humphries
New players: Matilda Lenthall, Dimity Whatley, Isabelle White
They say: "Our goals for the year are to play consistent cricket again, to continue to develop our game as a team and continue to develop as individuals and to have another successful year on and off the field," coach Norton-Smith said.
Trevallyn (Blue and Gold)
Last year: Runners-up (Blue)
Captain: Maxine Woods (Blue), TBA (gold)
They say: "Trevallyn have seen a boost of numbers with females being encouraged to try cricket and give it a go," Charmaine Whyman said.
"So we have driven it to give all a go rather than having them sit out each week to form two teams. It's a credit to the girls there that really enjoy giving it a crack.
"We have really pushed for the younger girls to step up with more responsibility this season and we see eight girls under 17 playing on the hill this season."
