Northern Rangers have announced former Riverside coach Chris Rademacher as their new youth technical director.
Club president Gavin Stone said Rademacher will play a leading role developing players and coaches in the Northern Tasmanian Junior Soccer Association and manage the junior academy skills acquisition program which will return in 2022.
Rademacher has extensive experience having played in Melbourne for Eastern Lions and Brighton before moving to Cairns to play for The Saints FC and Edge Hill where he had his first taste of coaching senior football.
He was involved with Football Tasmania's Talent Support Program coaching staff in 2017-18 and also with NTJSA rep players.
He was Riverside's assistant NPL coach and has coached teams from under-10 to under-18.
Stone said Rademacher also liaised with A-League clubs and facilitated interstate trials trips.
"Chris is keen to get the ball rolling on our academy and we will announce more details soon," he added.
Northern Rangers honoured its season's best at an annual awards night when the club's under-16s were also presented with a trophy for winning their Northern Championship.
