Sheffield Shield leaders Tasmania will be without the service of former Test paceman Peter Siddle for its upcoming clash with Queensland.
The 36-year-old has been rested "in order to manage his upcoming workload".
He was instrumental in the Tigers' win over Western Australia after taking 5-40 in 22.1 overs in Western Australia's second innings. He has taken seven wickets at 22 this summer to sit equal third in the wicket-taking standings.
Spinner Tom Andrews is his replacement.
Lawrence Neil-Smith, who has performed at a high standard with the ball and with the bat, has been passed fit to play after being subbed out of the Tigers' last match due to concussion.
Tim Paine and Jackson Bird remain sidelined due to injury, with Matthew Wade and Nathan Ellis on T20I World Cup duty.
The clash with Queensland at Townsville's Riverway Stadium will start on Wednesday.
