Business excellence in George Town was on Thursday night recognised at the George Town Chamber of Commerce Awards.

Both small and large business left as winners across the 14 categories including best new business, sustainability, tourism and judge adjudicated gongs.
Favourites Hillwood Berries took home the agricultural award, while the George Town Football Club continued their season into late October by winning the sustainability award.
Chamber president James Cameron said the past two years had reiterated the strength of the George Town business community, and recognising it was a pleasure.
"I am so delighted for the winning businesses, and hope their success in the awards gives their business a boost," he said.
A number of award winners were recognised for the first time.
The 14 award winners were:
- Best New Business - Tasfix Pty Ltd
- Best Marketing & Advertising Campaign - Don Mario's Ristorante
- Community Contribution - George Town Neighbourhood House
- Apprentice/Trainee of the Year - Bradley Duck, Bell Bay Aluminium
- Judges Award, Apprentice/Trainee of the Year - Wian Dekker, Temtrol Technologies
- Excellence in Sustainability - George Town Football Club
- Agricultural Award - Hillwood Berries
- Judges Award, Agricultural Award - Sinapius Vineyard
- Excellence in Customer Service - Sue & Rick Sherriff, NewsXpress
- Judges Award, Customer Service - Angela Riseley, Australia Post, George Town
- Excellence in Tourism - Low Head Pilot Station Museum
- Business Achievement - Minh Lamb, Your Pharmacy
- Judge's Award, Business Achievement - Gray's Hotel
- Excellence in Workplace Response to COVID-19 - George Town Medical Centre
