Queechy High School grade 9 students will participate in The Smith Family's work inspiration program.
North East Launceston program co-ordinator Shannon Anis said the initiative has been highly beneficial.
She said the program was created to expand on the typical work experience and allow for a more in-depth understanding of the workplace.
"Work inspiration is designed to help young people explore their personality types and values and to marry those into the workplace," she said.
"We then assist in exploring the various types of careers that are available with different organisations."
Student feedback indicates that the program is achieving its main objective.
Aspiring physiotherapist Ruby Williams, 15, said the information provided has been encouraging.
"So far it's been really helpful because I've learned a lot of things about myself like what some of my strengths are that could help me in what I want to do later in life," she said.
"The program has helped us have a broader range of ideas for jobs we could possibly do, even ones we never knew about."

Humanities teacher Allan Warren co-ordinates a range of different learning opportunities for students around future careers at Queechy and is thankful for the assistance from the charity.
"We highly value the program and its contribution to our student well being and support, it's really a bonus to have them at the school," he said.
"The feedback we've received shows it's going really well."
Two main local supporters of the program are Bunnings Warehouse and the City of Launceston council.
The students will be able to visit both of these organisations to experience being in a workplace first hand and to understand their work."
