
Hobart Hurricanes' BBL11 list has grown with the inclusion of a Queensland product who is described as a "burgeoning domestic talent".
Queenslander Josh Kann has signed a one-year deal with the Hurricanes.
The 21-year-old plays for the Gold Coast District Cricket Club in the Queensland Premier Cricket League.
Most recently, the tall, hard-hitting all-rounder - who also bowls right arm pace - has been plying his trade in the Northern Territory, representing the Southern Storm in the TIO Men's Strike League.Kann and has previously represented Australia at Under 19 and Queensland at under 23 level.
He said he was thrilled at the opportunity to sign with the Hurricanes
"This is my first professional contract, which is obviously something every player dreams of and works towards,'' he said.
"I'm just looking forward to getting down there and learning as much as I can from the other players and coaching staff. I'll be looking to play my role and contribute to the squad in whatever way I can."
The Hurricanes are scheduled open their campaign this summer against Sydney Sixers at UTAS Stadium on December 8.
