The program, coordinated by the Tasmanian Seafood Industry Council, included a tour of the Australian Maritime College and the Petuna aquaculture site at Rowella.
About 60 students took part in the program and TSIC chief executive Julian Harrington said it had been a great success.

"We had about 30 students take part each day, and the feedback has been great," he said. "It's all about providing an opportunity for the students to get a bit of an idea and to understand the different types of career opportunities in and around the seafood industry."
AMC's Maritime Simulation Centre proved to be a highlight, with students experiencing what it feels like to be in control of a vessel.
