The Greater Northern League's top-four sides are set for a Southern challenge, taking on Premier League teams in the state club cup.

Qualifying for the inaugural competition by finishing the first half of the GNL season in the top four, South Launceston's men and women join Launceston City's men and Queechy Penguins' women in the competition.
The two Suns sides will host the North West Hobart Graduates (men) and Derwent (women), while City and Queechy travel south to face Derwent and OHA.
South Launceston's Jamie Pinner is eager to face the Southern powerhouses at St Leonards, with the Hobart sides not as used to the GNL travel schedule.

"We are really excited about the opportunity and obviously a new competition so we are really keen," he said.
"I think all the Southern outfits will be the favourites, so it's kind of nice for a change to be the underdog for us, which is great.
"The expectation [is] that we are going to play as hard as we can but we probably aren't expecting to necessarily come away with the win but we will put in a solid effort."
Queechy Penguin Isabella McRobbie is expecting a major challenge on the road.
"It'll be really good to see the different talents and compete against the Southern players, see what is out there for us and aspire to play like," she said.
"It'll be a tough game that's for sure but if we try hard and work as a team, I'm sure there's no reason why we can't come away with it - give it our best and see what happens."
