But brains trust Lynden Prince and Frank Compton are keeping their cards close to their chest.
In its maiden statewide league season, the Birch Avenue club faces its first Women's Cup final against Olympia at KGV in Glenorchy on Monday charged with reversing a frustrating trend.
Half of United's defeats this season have come at the hands of the reigning champions who enter the decider as firm favourites having eliminated holder and league-leader Clarence in the semi-final.
With Belgian playmaker Sofie Verhaegen and new signing Karla Jones expected to return, Prince and Compton have been weighing up structural options.
In the absence of injured centre-back Katie Hill, Gonya Luate has done a solid job alongside Nichola Clark although Jones could play a similar role and release the former Northern Ranger into a more attacking role.
A No.10 role could be filled by either Luate, free-scoring midfielders Madi Gilpin and Jess Robinson or even captain and regular striking figurehead Dani Gunton.
Decisions also need to be made on the flanks with Laura Dickinson and Jess McCallumsmith likely to take charge down the right and Maddie Lohse, Elodie Gray and Annie Reitsema in competition for spots on the left.
Warriors' Leah Gubb and Bonnie Davies scored when the teams met on the big stage of UTAS Stadium on the A-League undercard in April while Mia Cane, Meghan Goscombe and captain Innocent Michael were on target in the 3-1 win at Warrior Park a month later.
With those two defeats fresh in the memory, Compton said United may need to take a different approach.
"I think there is so much quality in the midfield that both sides will try and miss that out where they can," he said.
"We have been making a lot of use of our wingers - that has been our go-to all year and has worked well sometimes - but we're also working hard on a Plan B."
Cane (six) and Madison Chambers (five) lead the Warriors' league goal-scoring having also claimed the team's only cup goals.
In contrast, United have banged in 26 en route to the final, led by Gunton (six) and Robinson (five) who between them reversed the 2-0 semi-final deficit at Kingborough.
Former Riverside young guns Gilpin and McCallumsmith have also claimed four apiece.
Kick-off is 11.30am.
