The state's under 19 squad is scheduled to play the Sydney Swans' academy side at Blacktown International Sportspark at 9.30am on Saturday for their first outing since Victoria's COVID-19 lockdown forced the pause button to be hit on the majority of the competition.
The Devils were scheduled to face Oakleigh Chargers at Dial Park and Western Jets at UTAS Stadium recently, but those fixtures were postponed by the AFL when Victoria entered its most recent COVID-19 lockdown.
The country sides in that state were able to play each other over the weekend when the regional Victorian lockdown was lifted, with the New South Wales and Queensland sides also playing each other during that time.
Meanwhile, AFL Tasmania has confirmed that Mathew Armstrong will take over as the coach of the Devils program next month for the remainder of the season once current coach Cameron Joyce departs to take up his new position as Gold Coast AFLW coach.
Armstrong, the Tasmanian Football Hall of Famer who played 175 VFL/AFL games for Fitzroy and North Melbourne and has had a key role in the state's talent program in the past, will step up from his current role as AFL Tasmania's talent operations lead for the Southern region.
The operational restructure will see Nicole Bresnehan take on additional responsibilities to become the talent operations lead for the Devils program and manage overall administration and logistics.
