Mr Hampton, who has chaired the company since 2013, recently snapped up about $508,000 worth of shares during MyState's capital raising aimed at driving further growth.
A company notice showed his indirect holdings in the company, mostly via a superannuation fund, now totalled about 898,000 shares.
Shares were trading at $4.88 at the time of writing.
MyState on May 24 announced the capital raising aimed at bringing in about $80 million to ramp up its growth drive.
"The capital raising will support the business to pursue a significant acceleration of its growth strategy," Mr Hampton said at the time.
"Since 2016, MyState has increased its home loan book by 43 per cent.
"We now see an opportunity to build on that success and substantially increase our growth trajectory.
"This is important as it helps us to remain competitive and provide the services that our customers expect whilst improving shareholder value."
Mr Hampton joined the MyState board in 2009.
He was managing director of former ASX-listed agricultural services company Roberts Limited from 1987 until 2006.
He is a former chairman of Forestry Tasmania, Hobart Water and TasWater and a former deputy chairman of the Van Diemen's Land Company and has held various other board positions.
MyState's businesses include MyState Bank and TPT Wealth.
