The Tigers won the 2020 championship division grand final after going undefeated.
This earned the side's senior competition a promotion to the premier division for 2021.
Tigers flanker Tom Suttor was named best on ground in the win over the Penguins.
Launceston's 2021 championship team also saw success on opening weekend, rolling Taroona's seconds 55-5.

In his debut for the team, young Elijah Agaiava tallied two tries.
The 17-year-old was also named in the Tasmanian under-18s team which will represent the state in Canberra later this year.
Launceston's firsts will play Devonport at 3pm at Royal Park after the seconds play Eastern Suburbs at 1pm.
Tasmania's sevens women's competition will play matches at 11am.
