Now, coach Mark Rudan is hoping the club's second and final UTAS Stadium appearance for 2021 will catapult the Black and Green machine back into the top six.
Having dealt clinically with then-top Central Coast on Saturday, United will host Wellington Phoenix at 7.05pm Thursday.
"[There were] a lot of positives from that game," United coach Mark Rudan said of Saturday's 1-0 win - the first A-League game played in Tasmania for eight years.

"The game plan was superb, the boys executed really well and I thought it was the best half of football we've played all season.
"We dominated with and without the ball against the league leaders and we should have wrapped the game up before half time."
United and Wellington sit eighth and ninth respectively, but join title favourite Melbourne City as the only clubs to have won three of their past five outings.
Phoenix got the better of United in a 3-2 thriller two weeks ago but Rudan said his side had been unlucky not to collect all three points.
"We know we can beat anybody in the competition, we've just got to be consistent," said Rudan, who coached Phoenix before taking on the United job.
"We've got to back up that win against the Mariners with another win."
United have an arrangement with the state government to play two games at UTAS Stadium this year and next, with Rudan praising the ground as a "beautiful pitch".
"It's been excellent - the boys have embraced it.
"Winning the first game always helps - it's made the last couple of days all the better.
"We had a day off and everyone went their own way - some went and played golf and I joined them because I'm an avid golf lover, a few others went around to the wineries and had lunch.
"It was really good to experience some more of Tasmania, it's a beautiful state."
