A Keely Froling 40-bomb saw her side to a 91-61 victory against the intrastate rivals at Kingborough.
Aside from a nine-point third quarter, the Torns looked unstoppable on both sides of the court.
Except for former Opal Maddie Carrick (26pts), the majority of the Chargers were held in check.
"We had a plan for Maddie, she's a prolific scorer," Tornadoes coach Sarah Veale said.
"We switched some things up when it wasn't working for us in the first leg and Mariah Payne did a phenomenal job.
"She worked so hard all game and it showed in the paint and that's where the game really changed."
Froling, on the other hand, was out of control - the former Canberra Capital notched 42 points and 22 rebounds.
"Froling killed the rebound count - great teams are great rebounders so that was really pleasing to see: that we were locked in and we could do it," Veale said.
Fresh off her USA College trip, Payne compiled a nifty 16 points and 11 rebounds.
"It's not just about the win, it's about seeing where we're at and understanding what we need to fix moving forward," Veale said.
"But I think I was most impressed by the intensity the girls brought to the game, the way they played for each other - it was brilliant team basketball."
