Work has been ongoing at the venue for several months, with the space transformed into a new cocktail lounge, bar area and restaurant offering for visitors.
The venue offers a specialty craft cocktail menu, alongside a carefully curated dining menu showcasing some of the finest produce the area has to offer.
It has been a busy few months for executive chef Aidan Stewart, but he is thrilled with the end result, with the venue has been the focus of extensive interior design
"The name itself, Alida, we wanted to align ourself with Joe Chromy, not a lot of people know that Penny Royal is owned by him," Mr Stewart said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"It's synonymous with Joe, and it's perfect that the restaurant is named Alida after his wife."
"We've previously been known as a three course dining restaurant but we're now more modern, leaning towards people coming in for just a cocktail, or a dinner, or sit up at the bar - whatever suits you."
The restaurant officially launches at 5pm Friday March 26, with an competition for visitors to win a gift voucher during the first two weeks of opening.
