Greater Northern Raiders duo Sasha Moloney and Corinne Hall fired at critical stages as the Tigers reduced South Australia from 0-47 to 174 all out.
Moloney dismissed fellow Northern Tasmanian Courtney Webb (20) among two LBWs, and later collected Amanda-Jade Wellington via a top-edged sweep to claim 3-23 off eight overs.
Nicola Carey, who made a century in Wednesday's win over ACT, helped clean up the tail to finish with 3-26 off nine.
If 174 was below-par target the Scorpions made a good fist of it early, reducing the Tigers to 2-20 after 10 overs when Moloney was cleaned up by Tahlia McGrath's inswinging yorker.

Carey and Heather Graham (31) got the chase back on track before Naomi Stalenberg took the game away from South Australia.
Stalenberg reached 47 before losing her off bail trying to give herself room on the off side, but Hall had the Tasmanians covered.
The ex-Hurricanes captain finished unbeaten on 31 off 35 balls to steer her side to 2-0 ahead of a Bellerive Oval clash with Western Australia on February 19.
