The Victorian case was detected yesterday and an investigation by the Victoria Health Department found the case visited eight public locations while it was likely they were infectious.
Tasmania's Public Health director Mark Veitch said the locations were in the Melbourne suburbs of Noble Park, Keysborough, Brighton, Brandon Park, Springvale and Heatherton on dates from Saturday, January 30 to Monday, February 1.
He said anyone in Tasmania who was in Melbourne on or after January 30 should immediately check the list of high-risk locations available here.
If you were at any of the premises at the specified dates and times, self-isolate immediately and call the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 after 9am today for further advice. This list may change so check this webpage regularly if you were recently in Victoria," Dr Veitch said.
"People planning to travel to Tasmania will be required to confirm whether or not they have been at any of the high-risk locations at the specified dates and times.
"People who have been at the locations at the specific times will be required to apply to the Deputy State Controller to enter Tasmania. If allowed to enter they will be required to quarantine for 14 days."
