Newly elected MLC Dr Bastian Seidel will be taking on the health portfolio, bringing with him years worth of medical experience, while former health spokesperson, Sarah Lovell, has been given the child safety and workplace relations portfolios.
Dr Seidel said he was looking forward to holding the government accountable for the state of the healthcare system.
"It's just fabulous to be in the health portfolio, and I will fight for patients, I will fight for nurses, for ambulance workers, allied health professionals, and for a better health system," he said.

Ms Lovell said she was ready for the challenges to be faced in the new portfolio.
"There's never been a more critical time for Tasmanians to be really across what's happening in child safety and child protection," she said.
Labor Leader Rebecca White said she was looking forward to the year ahead.
"The next year ahead of us is going to be really important, I'm excited with the depth of talent in my Labor team," Ms White said.
"Labor's focus is on ensuring that the state does not simply return to normal after the pandemic, because normal wasn't good enough for too many Tasmanians.
"We are working incredibly hard to ensure that Tasmanians have in the Labor Party a united force, ensuring that every single day their issues are raised to ensure that Tasmania has a better and a fairer future."
