The Orions will arrive at the NTCA No.1 with some level of mystery after their round two clash with the Lions was rained off.
However, the Lions will go in favourites having beaten every other team in the 50-over format save for a mostly-completed washout against Wynyard.
"It's funny that it's the one team we haven't played and we play them in finals," Launceston captain Alistair Taylor said.
"We know somewhat how they play - we played them last year and it was a good game of cricket.
"It's shaping up to be a really good game of cricket I reckon - both clubs are pretty aggressive so there'll probably be a fair few runs scored and it'll be exciting."
MORE CRICKET: Shamrocks fire to win T20 title
RIVERSIDE will host two-time defending champion Westbury in Sunday's other cup semi-final.
The Shamrocks won by 41 runs when the two sides met at Ingamells Oval before Christmas, and have added Nick Spencer, Alex Kerrison, Kieren Hume, Corey Briggs and Dom Barrett to Thursday's T20 flag-winning XI.
"It'll be our first chance to have a proper look at our best XI, so we'll finally get to play and gel with the guys that we know we're going to have available come the end of the season," Westbury captain Dan Murfet said.
"We're looking forward to playing as that group because when we put that team together things like our fielding standards come up a long way, our execution with the ball and our batting list lengthens as well."
MORE SPORT: Raiders batsman wins BBL recall
Riverside will also be boosted with Raiders all-rounders Cooper Anthes and James Simpson likely to come into the side.
"We have plenty of depth so there's going to be a couple of disappointed guys who end up not playing on Sunday but that's a really good position that we're in at the moment," Blues skipper Tom Garwood said.
"They're a really good side so we're going to have to play our best cricket, but we've got where we are by backing our ability and backing our team in so we'll aim to get the job done on Sunday as well."
Both games are at 10.30am.
