The trial began on Christmas Day, and is set to conclude on Friday.
"The trial of no-booking clinics for coronavirus testing in Launceston is continuing and will be thoroughly evaluated once it has concluded," the spokesman said.
"Testing numbers are consistent with numbers seen prior to the trial; reflecting that, in the main, people are seeking tests when they experience symptoms."

People are still able to call the public health hotline and make a booking, and are still required to contact the hotline when arriving at a testing site to provide details before they are able to proceed with a test.
In the 24 hours prior to 6pm January 11, 265 laboratory tests were completed.
