The Gold Coast-based Scottsman went undefeated on the weekend, accruing 161 points.
I didn't play badly last year but it was hard and a bit windy - that's bowls for you sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
- Kevin Anderson
After finishing last in the previous year's competition, Anderson said after winning that he just took each match at a time.
"I didn't play badly last year but it was hard and a bit windy - that's bowls for you sometimes you win, sometimes you lose," he said.
"The synthetic [green] was a lot easier without any wind."
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT:
This was Anderson's second Mad Dog win, having been victorious in 2018 before finishing dead last in 2019.
Tournament organiser and East Launceston Bowls Club president Sam Springer said for Anderson to win eight games from eight was remarkable.
"Coming into the last round it would've taken a miracle for someone to beat him," Springer said.
"It's an unbelievable feat given the strength of this field ... it goes to show how good a week Anderson's had.
Canadian Ryan Bester would finish second followed by another Scottsman in Ryan Burnett in third.
