As damp and slow outfields affected some performances, the cricketing gods forgot to tell Hadspen's Thanuka Dabare.

The Sri Lankan superstar took 3-6 off his eight overs before taking to ACL's bowling attack by smashing 56 off just 26 balls in the eight-wicket win.
ACL started well at 0-30 but the loss of Matthew Oates (14) started a chain reaction to be all out for 80.
Only the not out Nigel Hurst (14) would match Oates' effort while Dabare led a fleet of captain Liam Reynolds (2-5), Shahid Ahmed (2-5) and two other wicket takers.
ACL removed Dane Anderson early in his TCL debut but couldn't be saved from the wrath of Dabare as the 2018 Jason Savage Medallist went on a spree to seal the win for the reigning premiers.
George Town v Trevallyn
George Town's initiation into the TCL certainly wasn't an easy one as Trevallyn accounted for them by eight wickets.
The debutants were dismissed for 90 on a lush Hagley Oval as Jay Leslie's 31 proved to be the sole shining light while number 10 Andy Rudling contributed 17 not out.
The Trevallyn bowlers shared their wickets around, led by Wayne Ford's 4-30 as Clayde White (2-22 off 8), Drew Clark (2-8 off 5) and Jay Willis (2-27 off 6) contributed.
Captain James Whiteley would steer the ship home, smacking 41 not out as the visitors chased it down in 15 overs.
Rudling's 1-51 saw George Town's first wicket at TCL level while Prasanna Kharel (1-15) grabbed the other.
Bracknell v Perth
Perth have equalled their wins tally from last season in the early days of 2020-21, defeating Bracknell by 49 runs in their premier league debut.
The Demons set 164 from their 40 overs, led by captain John Hayes' 33 as number 10 Harley Thomas reaped the rewards in the back half of the innings with 25 not out.
Sixth-used Bracknell bowler Brad Fryett stole the show with the ball, claiming the association's first five-wicket haul of the year with his 5-30, which included the prized scalp of Hayes.
In chase, it was slim pickings for the premier league newcomers as only Jeremy Tuson (36) and coach Dylan Semmens (33) cracked double figures.
The pair put on 78 after meeting at the crease at 2-12 before Haider Raza broke the drought with the game in the balance.
Perth's dot-ball pressure proved to be too much for the home side with Raza starring with an economical 4-15 off eight overs.
He was joined by Jake Smith's 2-10 and Matthew Lawrence's 2-14 off eight after being hit for seven in his first over.
The game between Evandale Panthers and Longford was abandoned without a ball bowled.
