There are moments we see that make us smile and laugh at, or particular events that have happened and become part of history.
We see things as we go about our daily life, sitting at the traffic lights and glancing to the car next to us, or watching people as we do our groceries, there is always something to look at.
Our job is to photograph things to record for history, we are always looking for those extra moments.
Here's just a couple you may be aware of are,
Our favourite chocolate was established in Birmingham, England in 1824, by John Cadbury. In 1922, Cadbury decided to expand overseas. Tasmania was chosen as the location, the new estate was called "Cadbury's Estate" in Claremont, Hobart.
July 20th, 1969: Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that first landed humans on the Moon. Commander Neil Armstrong and lunar module pilot Buzz Aldrin formed the American crew that landed the Apollo Lunar Module Eagle, at 8.17pm.
September 27, 2013: Former Prime Minister Bob Hawke said after Australia won the America's cup: "Any boss who sacks someone for not turning up to work today is a bum".
I was checking the low tide level in the North Esk river, for another later story, and noticed the amount of dogs going for walks. It seemed like everyone was out. Geoff Clark was with his dog Rosie, off for the morning walk along the levee bank.
People go about their jobs quietly every day, sometimes not even noticed.
Riverbend Park is good for getting photos of kids at the playground. The gardens are looking good, and becoming established. I saw these two gardeners - Nick Graham and Kara North.
Supermarket trolleys escape from their surroundings. They appear in all sorts of places, and can be herded together. This one lonely trolley was far from its home, and looked lost. I'm just not sure which bus it wanted to get on, or just wanted shelter at the bus stop.
Walking from, seeing lost trolleys, into the mall, my next vision was two people sitting on a bench. They weren't together, and I'm not sure if they were resting from shopping, or waiting for their partners. It was a lonely Brisbane Street Mall, and some light rain. The Tasmanian tiger statues in front of them, made the photo, as it looks like they have dogs playing.
You can get lost in your own world very easily, we depend on mobile devices so much.
So keep looking and take in those moments around you. Until next time,
