Tasmania's Neighbourhood House network is preparing for an influx in demand once coronavirus financial supplements come to an end.

This comes as Labor has called upon the government to provide more support for emergency food relief providers.
Neighbourhood Houses Tasmania chief executive Tracey Tasker said the state government provided $20,000 to each of the state's Neighbourhood Houses in April.

She said houses were bracing themselves for sustained increase in need once JobKeeper and JobSeeker payments were wound back.
"This may translate to needing more resources or being able to use resources differently," Ms Tasker said.
"We have been well-resourced up until this point."
She said a sustainable volunteer workforce remained a challenge for many Neighbourhood Houses.
Labor leader Rebecca White said Tasmanian food relief services have been over-extended for too long.
"Making sure people have access to food is a fundamental human right," she said.
A government spokesperson said the government have provided the nation's most generous coronavirus support package and would continue to respond as needed to support vulnerable Tasmanians.
