Kenzie earned automatic selection thanks to his performance at last year's World Para-Athletics Championships, where he won a bronze medal.
Speaking from his current base in Canberra, the 24-year-old said he was excited to receive the news and is looking forward to the next 12 months of training for his T38 1500 metre event in which he won a silver medal at the Rio Paralympics in 2016.
"I received the news last week through Athletics Australia and to get automatic selection a year out means I can knuckle down and really focus on my training without having to worry about any more qualifiers," Kenzie said.
"With everything that has been going on in the world, there has been a lot of uncertainty for a lot of athletes, so to be announced as part of the team makes it more real and more exciting knowing that it is only a year away.
"I haven't really struggled with my motivation over the last six months, and if anything over this period, I'm feeling more connected than ever to my running."
