After three games in both leagues, the quartet of Launceston sides occupy four of the top five places in the men's and four of the top six in the women's.
The men's competition looks set to be a thriller with just one win separating seven sides.
The top two met at Prospect Park on Saturday and Launceston City's 3-2 win over Riverside means both teams both teams have won two of their opening three games.
Will Fleming's classy solo winner may prove to be extremely valuable come season's end as Wayne Penfold's Olympic side lost their 100 per cent record.
An early Isaac Degetto double completed City's scoring and player-coach Dan Smith said his side will need to continue to show such ruthless finishing if they are to contend for the title.
The only unbeaten side is Glenn Reading's Launceston United while just a single goal disparity is preventing reigning champions Northern Rangers leapfrogging Devonport to make it an all-Northern top four.
It is a similar story in the women's league where no side has won all three games.
Launceston United and Burnie United both have two wins and shared a 1-1 draw but the North-West outfit sit top courtesy of Coastal neighbours boosting their goal difference with 11-0 and 10-1 defeats.
Cameron Heazelwood's United side have made an excellent start highlighted by that draw at Burnie and eye-catching away wins against perennial contenders Northern Rangers and much-fancied Devonport Strikers.
They next face back-to-back home derbies against Riverside and City, who shared the points in a tight 1-1 draw on Saturday.
"I'm excited for the challenge," Heazlewood said as he looked ahead to a big fortnight at Birch Avenue.
Beginning the season with five straight home games, Rangers have also boosted their goal difference with big wins against North-West visitors.
Leaders Burnie are next up at the NTCA Ground.
