It is always interesting to look back to a different time and with The Examiner's extensive collection dating back to 1842 there are some wonderful old images of life in Northern Tasmania 100 years ago.
Back in 1920 taking photographs was a slow, time consuming job.
Apart from taking the photographs, the photographers of 1920 would have a long process of processing the film using several chemicals then printing the photos in a darkroom.
Come forward to 2020 and anyone with a mobile camera can take a photo and send it to the other side of the world in a couple of clicks.
How the times have changed.
Until next time,
Neil Richardson, The Examiner photographer
