Taking in a new course around the school grounds and the Kate Reed reserve, students were met with dream conditions for an outdoor winter event.
"It was actually a perfect day - the sun was out and it wasn't too cold so we couldn't have been luckier with the weather," Prospect HPE co-ordinator Carmen Slore said.
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT
Students from Prospect's grade 6 feeder schools were offered the chance to compete against grade 7s and did themselves proud with Summerdale's Nikki O'Connor and East Launceston's Griffin Poke both crossing the line first.
Hannah Kelly and Campbell Whitney were the leading grade 7 runners while Zoe Casey and Blake Whitehouse (grade 8), Caitlin Smith and Riley Kerr (grade 9), and Mady Bakes and Jack Wood (grade 10) all won their respective races.
