Wind gusts of 100-115 km/h are expected Sunday morning before easing in the afternoon.
Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist David Matthews said more rainfall is expected on Sunday.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"A cold front is expected to cross the state early Sunday morning bringing widespread falls of 15-25 mm to the west, north and Bass Strait islands, 5-10 mm elsewhere," he said.
"Isolated heavier falls up to 40 mm [are expected] across the north [with] possible thunderstorms and small hail about the west and north during the morning."
A minor flood warning is still in place for the North and South Esk rivers with a flood watch in place for North and North-East catchments.
Mr Matthews said there is a chance of thunderstorms for the West coast and Bass Strait islands from Saturday afternoon.
He said conditions are expected to ease on Monday.
"Conditions ease during Monday, with more settled Autumn weather expected for most of the week as a large high pressure system moves towards Tasmania over the Southern Ocean," Mr Matthews said.
