The Chieftains have not only won all four matches against the Bluebacks this season but enjoyed a victory streak stretching back at least four years.
And it was more of the same at Hadspen Cricket Ground as the hosts cruised to a nine-wicket win inside 18 overs, backing up ACL captain-coach John Kedey's pre-match assertion that they were "the hottest of hottest favourites".
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, ACL lost Kedey early and were rarely in the contest thereafter as Kyle Strochnetter (4-24 off eight) ripped through their top order.
Wickets tumbled and single-figure scores were the order of the day until a seventh-wicket partnership restored some respectability.
With his team in all sorts at 6-38, Kieran Davey dug in and found some company among the lower order.
Deepak Singh (10 off 31), Ben Harris (13 off 28) and Luke Oates (11 not out off 19) all broke double figures while Davey worked his way to a patient top score of 33 in a two-hour 91-ball stay at the crease.
Thanuka Dabare (3-12 off 6.4) backed up Strochnetter's hard work as ACL were dismissed for 109 in the 39th over.
All the Hadspen bowlers returned economical figures, not least captain-coach Liam Reynolds whose 1-12 came off seven overs and included half his team's four maidens.
The Chieftains never looked in trouble in reply, needing just three batsmen to run down the total.
Dabare went for a run-a-ball 15 with 21 on the board before a masterclass from Damian Woods and Dilan Jayalath kept the title defence on track.
Both found the rope with ease and added a maximum for their efforts.
Opener Woods (42 off 53) played the patient role as Jayalath came in at first-drop to deliver the big hitting, reaching an unbeaten half-century off just 36 balls inside 50 minutes.
Chathura Athukorala (1-27 off six) was the solitary wicket-taker.
Hadspen will get the chance to defend their title against minor premiers Longford, the teams having dominated the regular season with a combined 23 wins - comfortably more than the 16 managed by the other four sides.
Saturday's grand final is at University Oval, Mowbray.
