The 19-year-old joins Clarence duo Tahlia Bortignon and Brianna Oates as Devils' leaders.
"Tahlia, Brianna and Camilla have all been exemplary in their application and attitude across the entire pre-season," coach Emma Humphries said.
"As a coaching group we have immense confidence in these three talented footballers and have been consistently impressed by how they have applied themselves on and off the field and the standards they have set."
Taylor is one of two Northern products who are Devils leaders, with East Launceston's Jemma Blair joining Wynyard's Olivia Smith and Clarence's national academy squad member Amy Prokopiec in the Emerging Leaders group.
"We are really happy with this leadership structure and are confident that it will not only challenge our three co-captains and three Emerging Leaders but also provide them with the chance to thrive and develop as footballers, leaders and people in general," Humphries said.
This leadership selection was made at the end of a team-wide process that included players self-nominating for consideration, before officials made the final call.
The Devils will play Oakleigh Chargers in the curtain-raiser to the AFLW match between the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos and Adelaide at North Hobart Oval at Saturday at 12.30pm, with the AFLW game at 3.10pm.
